BIO
Marko Koers has been working with Mentally Fit as a performance coach and workshop leader since 2007. He applies his experiences from his top sports career as a track and field athlete to the corporate world, where he coaches both teams and individuals. Marko works with many different national and international companies on their vitality management and to manage personal energy, team energy and organizational energy. He’s specialized in performance under pressure and brain function in relation to exercise.
Until 2004, Marko was a professional athlete. He specialized in the 800 m. and 1500 m. track and field and represented The Netherlands at three Olympics: Barcelona 1992 (semi-finals 800 m.), Atlanta 1996 (7th place 1500 m.) and Sydney 2000 (13th place 1500 m.) Other highlights include 6th place for the 800 m. at the 1997 Athens World Championships and a silver medal at the 1998 Valencia European Indoor Championships.
Besides his work for Mentally Fit, Marko is owner of Marko Koers Sports company sports. He organizes sports programs, clinics and workshops for companies. Also, together with his wife Lotte, Marko started the initiative Fit’s Life. Fit’s Life shares videos and tips about fitness exercises for people who have a busy life and little time to spare.
